Get:Screened is designed to reduce colorectal cancer morbidity and mortality through access to early detection. This program from the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services aims to provide colorectal cancer screening, including limited diagnostic follow-up testing, where appropriate, to age and income-eligible persons in North Dakota. Formerly known as the North Dakota Colorectal Cancer Screening Initiative (NDCRCSI), the program provides reimbursement for approved colorectal cancer screening services—including stool-based testing, colonoscopy for uninsured and underinsured patients who meet age and income criteria. By reducing financial barriers to screening, Get:Screened helps clinics and providers deliver guideline-recommended preventive care, improve screening rates and identify colorectal cancer earlier, when treatment is most effective. Participating providers also play a critical role in connecting eligible patients to covered services and ensuring timely follow-up of abnormal results.

This information is most helpful for providers and clinics. If you or someone you know is underinsured or uninsured and looking for screening opportunities, contact us.
